The Oral Health Foundation has awarded scholarships to 70 students studying in different dental colleges across Bangladesh.
Vice Chancellor of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University Prof Sharfuddin Ahmed handed over cheques to the recipients at a ceremony at the university on Thursday.
He encouraged them to be “world-class dentists”.
President of the Foundation Prof Mohammad Ali Asgar Morol, also the dean of the faculty of dentistry of the BSMMU chaired the event, moderated by Dr Helal Uddin, treasurer of the Foundation and also as assistant professor of the BSMMU.
Three Pro Vice Chancellors of the University Prof Akm Mosharraf Hossain, Prof Saif Uddin Ahmed, and Prof Md Moniruzzaman Khan were also present.
