UNHCR may involve India, China more in Rohingya repatriation

The last electoral rally of the ruling Awami League is set to be held in Narayanganj, and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address it, AKM Shamim Osman, member of parliament from Narayanganj-4 constituency.
He announced this at a press conference at the Narayanganj Rifle Club in Chashara on Thursday.
Shamim Osman said that instead of holding the last electoral rally in Dhaka, the prime minister will hold it here (Narayanganj). “We are proud of how she considered us.”
He added that Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader confirmed that the rally will be held at AKM Shamsuzzoha Stadium in Narayanganj 2:30pm on January 4.
Shamim Osman said that they want to hold a massive commemorative rally with around 2,50,000 of people in Narayanganj. He urged the party leaders and activists to disregard any hurdles and appear at AKM Shamsuzzoha Stadium by 2pm on that day.
He added that Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy is also set to attend the January 4 rally. "Hopefully, we will share the rally stage."
District Awami League General Secretary Abu Hasnat Shahid Badal, Metropolitan Awami League Senior Vice President Chandan Sheel, General Secretary Khokon Saha, Joint General Secretaries Shah Nizam and GM Arman, Organizing Secretary Zakirul Alam Helal, and others attended the press conference.
The 12th national polls is scheduled to be held on January 7.
